Spring Start-up
The backflow preventer is first pressurized and checked for any leaks
All zones are pressurized and checked for any leaks
The rain sensor is tested to be sure it is operating correctly
Rotary Heads are checked to make sure they are rotating properly
Spray nozzles are checked to make sure they are not clogged and operating properly
Any head that is blocked by overgrowth will be raised or moved
All heads are checked for proper adjustments
July . August
Summer Inspections
Adjustments will be made based on plant growth and weather conditions
All main and lateral lines will be checked for leaks
The rain sensor is tested to be sure it is operating correctly

Winterization
Shut water off to irrigation system
Open all drain valves
Charge all main, lateral lines, valves, and heads with compressed air until completely empty
Controller to be set in off position or unplugged
